Little Miss Allen County Program
This year our feature fundraiser for the Miss Allen County Scholarship will again be the Little Miss/Jr Miss Allen County Program.We would like to thank all of those that participated in 2010 as we were able to raise $350 for our scholarship fund. We had 9 young ladies participate and they won great prizes such as: Crown, sash, entry into Science Central, free tokens at Tokens-n-Tickets, pizza from Pizza Hut, a crown pin, free frosty from Wendy's and more.
A summary of the program:
We will be looking for young girls to participate in our Little Miss program that will be kicked off during the 2011 Miss Allen County Queen Scholarship Pageant and will run through Thursday, July 21st of the Allen County Fair. Each girl will be featured during the 2011 pageant , as well as during the fair. The winners of the Little Miss, Jr Miss, and Pre Teen Miss Allen County titles will be determined on money collected with each penny equaling a vote. The collection will begin during intermission of the 2011 Miss Allen County Queen Pageant and will continue through the Fair. On Thursday, during Kids Day at the Fair, the titles will be awarded to each participant along with their crown, sash, and prizes. We encourage Little Miss participants to ask family and friends to donate to their jar even before the 2011 Miss pageant and donations do not have to be just pennies, we accept all denominations of coins and paper money. All the money collected goes directly to the Miss Allen County Queen Scholarship Fund.
Age Divisions:
2-6 years old - Little Miss Allen County
7-11 years old - Jr. Miss Allen County
12-15 - Pre Teen Miss Allen County

Orientation:
An orientation meeting will be scheduled at the Allen County Fairgrounds. At this meeting we will discuss how the young girls will be including in the 2011 Miss Pageant as well as Little Miss Coronation. It will NOT be mandatory for participants to be included in the 2011 Miss Pageant, but very highly recommended. The Orientation meeting has been set for Thursday, June 30th at 6:30pm at the Administration Building at the Allen County Fairgrounds on Carroll Road.
